This article explores what makes us feel emotionally and physically safe in intimacy. It argues that building a secure relationship with ourselves is key, often more important than techniques or toys. True sexual fulfillment comes from a place of self-trust, presence, and honoring our authentic desires, not from a culture of performance and achievement.

Erotic landscaping – the beauty of tending our own garden of eros
Erotic landscaping is a metaphor for cultivating your own desires. It’s a lifelong process of tending to your inner garden, removing weeds of shame and judgment, and actively creating an environment where your erotic self can flourish. It’s about accepting that true beauty lies in the journey, not just the destination.
Sexuality and conscious consent
In my work, I emphasize that conscious consent is a continuous process of authentic choice, not just the absence of a “no.” It requires a deep body connection to overcome conditioning and power dynamics. The “yes” must be enthusiastic. The goal is moving from fear to personal sovereignty, promoting a sex-positive approach that celebrates the “yes.”
Conscious sexuality: a possible choice
Conscious sexuality is about life and quality, not quantity. Essential for well-being, it requires moving beyond social obsession and moralism. It is a growth journey that involves honoring authentic desires and overcoming barriers (trauma, conditioning). Psychosomatic education helps integrate body, mind, and spirit for a flourishing and joyful sexuality.
